I'm very happy with my improvement as far as my art skills go. Unfortunately, my scanner is broke. I can still sketch digitally, but I honestly prefer pencil and paper for that. :/ So I'm afraid I'm going to have to resort to taking photos of my traditional work. I don't know if it'll work, but it should be ok for digital inking. And obviously if it's inked its colorable.
Ugh, though. There's a downside to every pleasure. And I'm not talking about the practice it took to get to where I am. I am by no means saying I'm excellent, but I think I am much better than I could have been. Anyway, we're doing concrete poems in language, which requires drawing a picture (the words flow along the drawing in a line). I drew mine of a hot cocoa mug, as that was what the poem was about. The person next to me is constantly asking me how to draw this and that, and to help her. At first I have no problem with that, but she practically wants me to draw her picture. And I'm like "Uh, I have to draw my picture too..." Plus I had to redraw mine because we need to do it horizontally, apparently. I did mine vertically because a mug of hot cocoa generally looks better vertical, and takes up more space on a rectangle-shaped piece of paper. But nooo. And she's still bugging me! I'm writing my words, and she's sitting there saying "are you done yet? are you done yet?" Apparently she can't do her own work. It's too haaaarrrrd. She doesn't know hoooowwwww. (more whining) She also has taken ideas from the examples for a project in reading, and she got her poem idea from the Night Before Christmas. She started with that, but the teacher said not to do parodies. So she just started with 'It was the night before Christmas...' and didn't even try to think of a decent topic. I think she has some serious creativity issues or she's just lazy. I don't like her. She's ok to talk to, but she talks like a baby. I did use her pens to make my assignment book plaid this week though :P
I'm in the mood for a new template, how about you? I'll save this one for another time though, I like it a lot.
