I'm not a morning person, and my alarm clock is loud because I always think quieter ones are part of my dream. Some of them just slowly wake me up, and some don't at all. My alarm clock is the only one that wakes me up almost right away. Its got a freaking speaker. Its soft setting (which I have it on) is super loud by normal standards.
My mom is the opposite of me (and basically the rest of our family), and actually hears things. So my alarm clock wakes her up. And she doesn't like when I set my alarm clock. My brother doesn't seem to know how to set his, it goes off when he's not even home. I think she thinks I have the same problem. I set mine up like 1/2 hour before I want to get up because, as I said before, I'm not a morning person, and I like to hit snooze a bazillion times. This bugs her too. So I'm going to have to actually wake up when my alarm goes off. I hate getting up so much... but once I'm up I'm fine. Try telling me that when I'm all snuggled in my sheets.
Anyway, I didn't NEED to get up this early. I have a 2 hour delay. I wanted to get up at the normal time for two reasons. 1) 2 hour delays feel like normal school days when I'm not up to appreciate not going to class. 2) If I shut my alarm off then fall asleep (which I tend to do) it won't matter as much as a normal day. Mostly reason number one though. I like having free time.
